Student Impact Initiative—Empower the Next Generation of Students

Empower a Student — Support a Leader of Tomorrow Today!

Every young person deserves the opportunity to grow, succeed, and reach their full potential. Through the Student Impact Initiative, donors can choose to support a specific student through a one-time donation or 6 month sponsorship.

Your generosity helps provide students with essential resources and educational support that empower them to thrive in school and beyond. With your support, you can be the spark that helps a student thrive, opening doors to education, mentorship, and life-changing opportunities. Even a small donation can make a meaningful difference in a student’s life and help them move one step closer toward their goals and dreams.

Now, meet some of our incredible young leaders—future change makers, innovators, and trailblazers.

  • Major: Cognitive Neuroscience with a Minor in Psychology and Law

“I am a first-generation college student studying Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Southern California. My work sits at the intersection of behavioral health, neuroscience, and advocacy for youth with disabilities.

At USC, I have actively built a foundation in both research and clinical environments. I conduct neuroscience research analyzing how auditory stimuli influence brain activity and emotional processing, and I volunteer in high-intensity medical settings where I support patient care and interdisciplinary teams. Beyond the clinic and lab, I serve on the Youth Advisory Board for the Children’s Law Center of California, where I contribute to efforts aimed at improving systems that impact foster youth and other vulnerable populations.

My academic and professional focus is driven by a clear goal: to advance how we understand and support behavioral health, particularly for youth who are often overlooked. To that end, I am currently developing an app designed to help young people build emotional regulation skills; translating research into accessible, real-world tools.

Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a PhD in neuroscience to investigate the biological foundations of trauma and developmental conditions, followed by law school to drive systemic change through policy and advocacy.

    • Your support would provide the stability needed to fully immerse myself in this research opportunity without the constant weight of financial strain. It would allow me to dedicate my energy to advancing my development as a scientist and advocate, committed to creating solutions that expand access and opportunity in behavioral health.”

With my degree I want to use the levers of economics and business-creation to pull communities around the globe out of the same circumstances I grew up in. Each day that I’m able to pursue my education is one more step in that direction, I just need help with the shoes. Any contribution you’re able to make is deeply appreciated.”
