Hollywood Celebrities and NHL Alumni Team Up in Park City for the Second Annual Luc Robitaille Celebrity Shoot Out Presented by D.I.S.C. Sports and Spine Center to Benefit Echoes of Hope

- 01/20/09 - "General Hospital" heart throb Jason Thompson led a star studded field of celebrities and NHL alumni with four goals at the 2nd Annual Luc Robitaille Celebrity Shoot Out Presented by D.I.S.C. Sports and Spine Center to benefit Echoes of Hope that was held Sunday to tie in with the Sundance Film Festival. Scott Wolf, formerly a star in "Party of Five" and "The Nine" notched three goals and ultimately helped lead Team Echoes to a one goal victory over Thompson and Team Hope 13-12. A 30-minute highlight show will run on the NHL network in the near future.

Team Echoes was coached by legendary funny man Tom Arnold and included goalie Dave Annabelle from "Brothers and Sisters," who shared net-minding duties with prominent neurological spine surgeon Dr. Robert S. Bray, Jr. of D.I.S.C., Tom Bernand co-president of Sony Pictures Classics, along with NHL Hall of Famer Larry Murphy and wingers Tony Amonte and Reid Simpson.

"Echoes for Hope does such important work in the community helping at risk teens and we are delighted to be associated with such a worthwhile charity," said D.I.S.C. CEO and founder Dr. Bray. "Through our D.I.S.C. Foundation, we are committed to investing in today's youth and this event is another avenue where we can have a positive impact helping others that need our support in an effort to better their lives."

Team Hope was coached by Stacia Robitaille and film star Andie McDowell. Players included Oscar-winner Cuba Gooding, Jr., director Jason Reitman of "Juno" and "Thank You for Smoking," Ryne Sanborn of "High School Musical I, 2 and 3" and D.B. Sweeney, star of "Crash" and "Jericho" along with NHL Hall of Famer Marcel Dionne, Brad Norton, Nelson Emerson and Manon Rheume
